TheMultiRest is compatible with lathe swing sizes frommini
up to 20”. The base of the MultiRest has independently ad-
justable spacer blocks that provide a secure fit on lathe beds
with way sizes from 1”to 4.5”in width. Each wheel assembly
can be positioned anywhere around the ring to adjust the
center position for a wide range of lathe sizes and project
diameters. The 2-piece design allows the MultiRest to be
opened - leaving the mounting base firmly attached to the
lathe. This provides access when mounting or demounting
parts for secondary operations. When separating the larger
ring section, the remaining section becomes a bowl rest,
providing support behind the work piece while exposing
the opposite side for cutting operations. The device’s multi-ring aircraft grade aluminum structure creates great
rigidity while keeping the weight to half that of a full steel rest. The MultiRest’s bearing mounted, non-marring
urethane wheels have rigid internal rings to prevent sidewall flex, thus giving exceptional support while still be-
ing gentle on the workpiece.

system enables the tool to cut the material versus a
standard scraper which provides for a smooth cut and

specific is the riser post which is available to fit lathes

Carter® Hollow Roller
The made in the USA Hollow Roller™ system is a cap-
tive bar tool for safely turning hollow forms and bowls.
The bar is completely captive, which allows the opera-
tor to focus on the work of the vessel being turned
instead of on the complexity of the hollowing system.
It incorporates a fully sealed bearing lubrication free
roller system that eliminates drag on the bar, thus
enabling a smoother flowing motion. It gives the op-
erator more control and feel while turning the work
piece. The Hollow Roller attaches to most lathes, but
must be purchased with the correct size adapter stud
(shown below and sold separately)

The Turners Laser Guide enables you to know the location of a point on the cutting edge in real time even while
the vessel is spinning and material is being removed. It utilizes a laser pointer to indicate the cutter position on
the outside of the vessel while the cutter is actually inside the vessel and is otherwise impossible to accurately lo-
cate.The Universal Mounting Base allows theTurners Laser Guide to be attached tomost any style, type or brand
of hollowing tool.TheTurners Laser Guide can be attached to either the turning tool ferrule or shaft ranging from
