Double faced tape adheres the bowl blank to the
faceplate of your lathe. This works great if your bowl
blank is balanced and true. Turn bowls up to 10 inches
in diameter and 2 inches thick. For best results, al-
ways be sure that your work surface areas are clean
before placing tape on the bowl blank. You may want
to clamp it as well for an extra secure bond. Always
remember to tug or push on the bowl blank once it is
installed to make sure you have a strong bond before
turning. Caution: Do not use the tape on wet wood.
Each tape roll dispenses approx. 108 feet of tape.

than typical plates, these plates allow the stock to stay
closer to the head stock bearing for less vibration.
Carter™ FACE OFF
Lathe Faceplate Mounts
The Carter FACE-OFF™ modular face plate system is a
unique new system that allows the turner the ability
to use multiple faces for their work, while only need-
ing one threaded adapter for mounting on the lathe.
This allows the turner to keep the face mounted on
their work while it dries, then work on another project
or anything that would require a turner to normally re-
move and need to remount a faceplate. Since the face
can now remain mounted the piece will be perfectly
centered when they come back to turning it again.
Each adapter has a set of two alignment pins which
bring the adapter perfectly on center for every face.
