Designed to work into the concave surfaces of bowls,
Bowl Buffs are offered in several diameters for choos-
ing a size best suited for your work. The buffs are avail-
able in three different fabrics
(linen, linen & cotton and cotton
flannel, all included in kit)

with a specific wax compound

. The bowl buffs are
generally used on your lathe, but can also be used on a
standard motor or even a power drill. The buffs mount
to a lathe using a lathe adapter (B or C)

The Wheel Buff System is specially designed to work
the convex surfaces of bowls, platters, vessels and
more. The wheel kits are offered in two diameters for
choosing a size best suited for your work. The buffs
come in three different fabrics
(linen, linen & cotton and cotton
flannel)
. Each buff works in conjunction with a specific
wax compound
(tripoli #7359, white diamond #7361 and carnauba
#7360 - each included with this set)
. The wheel buffs are gener-
ally run around 1725 rpm on your lathe and can also
be used on a standard motor using the 3½” mount-
ing hub (A)
(included).
The buffs mount to a lathe using
a lathe adapter (B or C)

and a 3½”mounting hub (A)

. Wheel buff
sets include the following: 1 ea. linen wheel, 1 ea. linen
cotton, 1 ea. cotton flannel wheel, 1 ea. mounting hub,
1 ea. tripoli compound, 1 ea. white diamond com-
pound, 1 ea. carnauba compound, 1 ea. 3½”mounting
hub (A) and all the necessary hardware for installation.
Getting your finished acrylic and C/A finished pens to
look there absolute best can be challenging. With the
Pen Buffing Kit you’ll be able to achieve the perfect fin-
ish using the two wheel buffing system that attaches
right to your lathe by way of a mandrel. The buffing
wheels slide right on to a 7mmmandrel
(notincluded)
and
are spaced apart using special spacer bushings. Once
mounted, apply the blue compound
(included with kit)
to
the Linenwheel and buff the pen part until the desired
luster is reached. Finish the pen part off using the cot-
ton wheel for a shine that is sure to impress. The Pen
Buffing Kit Includes: 1 ea. linen wheel, 1 ea. cotton
wheel, 2 ea. long spacer bushings, 2 ea. short spacer
bushings, 1 ea. blue compound bar and instructions.

The Easy Buff Systemwas developed with versatility and ease of use in mind. Whether you are using the wheels or the
bowl buffs, you’ll have plenty of options to fit your own workshops needs. Below are 4 different mounting methods that
can be applied in most any shop. We have also put together 3 convenient packages shown at the bottom of the page.

8” Direct LatheMount
The 8”Direct LatheMount (E) does
not need any other accessories
to attach your wheel or buff to a
lathe. It is machined with a 1” x 8
tpi thread for attaching directly to
a 1” x 8 tpi lathe headstock. This
mount is also 8” in length which
gives added work space when
buffing larger turning projects.
It’s the perfect add-on for anyone
who consistently does larger turn-
ings.

Mount the wheel buffs or bowl
buffs to any standard motor that
uses a 5/8” or 1/2” arbor. The Easy
Buff System allows you to easily
attach both styles of buffs with an
easy to secure mounting hub (A).
The mounting hub simply slides
over the motor arbor and is se-
cured by 2 set screws with a hex key
wrench. Then thread the wheel or
bowl buff directly into the mount-
ing hub and you’re ready to go!
The lathe adapter features a ta-
pered end that slides right into the
headstock of your lathe. It comes
in an MT-1 or MT-2 (B or C) version
which covers most any size lathe.
Once the lathe adapter is in the
headstock, you then attach the
mounting hub (A) and secure with
a hex key wrench. Then thread the
wheel or bowl buff directly into the
mounting hub and you’re ready to
start polishing your project!
Another great feature of the Easy
Buff System is that you don’t need
a large machine to use the system.
If all you have at home is a power
drill, then you’re in luck. By securing
the Bowl Buff Drill Mandrel (D) in
the drill chuck, you can now thread
a bowl buff right to your drill. Typi-
cally, the wheels are not used in this
fashion, however they may be used
on a drill press with the Bowl Buff
Drill Mandrel if desired.
