Curved Scraper
The curved end profile makes this excellent for creating, smoothing and blending
curved surfaces in bowl and spindle work, eg round bottomed boxes. This tool is
able to take an aggressive cut, while retaining the butterfly sensitivity for the refin-
ing cuts.
Round Side Scraper
Designed for blending the parallel side wall and the curved bottom of vessels to-
gether. It is excellent for undercutting the rims of small bowls.
Hardwood Scraper
The Hardwood Scraper is different in that it has a negative rake on the bevel. It
is designed to reduce or eliminate tear-out of the fibres of wood leaving a highly
polished surface on all types of wood. This feature is highly sought after by those
working in the typically hard woods like African Blackwood.
Heavy Duty Inboard Scraper
This tool is massive in section, it is designed to reduce vibration and be stable while
in use. Because of it’s shear size and bulk this scraper can be used with a large over-
hang from the tool rest on the lathe. This makes it excellent for large bowl work,
platters, vases and most any deep hollowing projects.

Parting Tool
Used to part the finished project off from thewastematerial, the parallel sidesmake
for a rigid tool that handles well. The 1/8”-3mm tool reduces the amount of waste,
vital if the timber is an expensive, exotic one. It also makes for a fine detailing tool,
e.g. beads and fillets.
Slim Parting Tool
This 1/16”handy parting tool is designed to give the cleanest and finest of cuts with
theminimumof waste wood. Its 1.1/4”blade width eliminates the flexing and twist-
ing normally associated with such a thin blade. The double bevel HSS cutting face

Fluted Parting Tool
This tool has a milled flute running along the bottom edge, creating two sharp
spurs at the cutting face. These sever the fibres to produce a burnished finish. The
tapered profile also reduces the risk of binding in the cut. This features a radically
new and unique cutting profilewith a blade profile of only 2mm.The long bevel has
a milled flute which is the cutting face.
Bedan
Used in the same way as the beading and parting tool. The relieved side bevel al-
lows the tool to plunge cut in bowls and boxes with little risk of binding.
