Odie’s Oil Finishing Products
Cutting Board Wax is a Hard,
Carnauba wax finish that is
food-safe and made specifi-
cally for cutting boards.
For a single step, solvent-free
durable finish that brings out
the grain and figure of the
wood, this patented blend of
carnauba wax and walnut oil
is a great choice. The patented
micro-aggregated carnauba
wax particles are the unique
part of this finish. Tiny wax
particles act very much like
the woods surface to produce
a hard and protective wax
finish that can be buffed to
any degree of luster that you
desire.
High Build Friction polish is among
the very best. Walnut oil does not
cloud the figure of the wood or dark-
en with age. The surface of the work
piece should be finish sanded with all
sand marks removed. It doesn’t take
that long with good quality sandpa-
per and a sanding lubricant like Ron
Browns Walnut Finishing Oil (sold
separately) to do the trick.

combines the good sealing
properties of the High Build
Friction Polish with the protec-
tion, shine and restorability of
a microaggregated carnauba
wax topcoat. This is a friction
polish that produces a hard, re-
storable finish. Applied to the
spinning piece as a first finish
or as a redressing application,
the project buffs up with a
great shine in 1 step.
Ron Browns Walnut Finishing Oil
can be used in two ways: First, it
can be used as an oil finish. Dip the
sanded piece into Walnut Finish-
ing Oil, drain off the excess and set
the piece aside. The walnut oil will
be drawn into the wood and with
time, hardens to a durable, restored
finish. Second, it can also be used
as an aid in sanding. A few drops of
Walnut Finishing Oil applied to the
work as it is sanded will speed up
the sanding process significantly.
A blend of purifiedWalnut Oil, Shel-
lac and micro-aggregated Cosmol-
loid 80H, a micro crystal wax with
exceptional clarity. The microaggre-
gation process produces a friction
polish that spreads evenly over the
finished surface without organic
solvents. Simply add a small amount
to the sanded surface and friction
polish to produce a high luster finish
for pens and many other projects.

vides a smooth surface on
which the wax can be de-
posited. The wax is applied
to the piece after final
sanding and is then buffed
with a soft paper towel.
The Walnut Oil Crystal
wax relies on the solvat-
ing properties of walnut
oil, the microcrystal wax
provides a translucent wax
finish. In exchange for a
slightly brighter shine, you
get a slightly softer finish
than with carnauba wax.
