Turn Mid-Size to Large Projects
Large 3 Piece Carbide Replacement CuttersCarbide turning tools have a couple of advantages of standard turning tools. One of the most satisfying advantages is that we don’t have to sharpen tools when they become dull over time. Another advantage is that they are ready to go right out of the box! No more making sure your brand new tool is sharp enough to start turning. Carbide cutters will stay sharper for a longer period of time when compared to standard turning tools. When the carbide cutter finally dulls, simply loosen the screw that holds the cutter in place, rotate the cutter to a sharp, clean edge and then secure the cutter by tightening the screw.

Fits Savannah Carbide Turning Tools and Most Every Other Major Brand!These three cutters have been designed to replace the 3 cutters that come with the Savannah 3 piece large carbide turning tool set. However, the Savannah 3 piece cutter set may work with many other brands of carbide turning tools that you may already have in your shop. This cutter set comes with two screws that are sized for Savannah turning tools, but depending on your turning tool thread size, you may need to use the screws that came with your turning tools to properly secure these cutters on to your current brand. 
Round Carbide CutterRound cutters are primarily designed for finishing cuts, especially on inside curves of bowls and spindles. This cutter shape also works well for shaping and hollowing bowls. 
Square Carbide CutterSquare cutters are generally used for roughing out material and for that reason they are sometimes referred to as a rougher tool or cutter. They are ideally used on flat or convex surfaces and they remove more material than the round or diamond shape cutters. 
Diamond Shaped Mini CutterThe diamond shaped carbide cutter is designed for putting the final details on your project such as small beads and coves on both spindle and bowls. Along with the lighter detail cuts, this cutter shape can also be used for roughing, finishing and cutting chuck tenons.

A pack of three of the most popular cutters in high speed steel. The round is a general purpose cutter for the rapid removal of material inside and outside bowls and hollow forms. It works equally efficiently on spindle work. The detail point offers an excellent choice for roughing down square stock to round and for creating fine detail, while the square is useful for generating square shoulders on tenons.
