Making bottle stopper tops has never been easier. Simply drill a 1/2" pilot
hole into your blank, glue in the insert and you're ready to mount your blank to
the bottle stopper chuck and turn. Works with any material that can be machined.
Allows you to easily assemble and disassemble your blank from the kit. You can
also use it as a Screw Chuck system where you use the insert in the blanks and
the Bottle Stopper mandrel as a screw chuck.

Bottle Stopper Threaded Inserts
Unlike knife or thread-in inserts that cut and damage your
material, our inserts are pressure fit inserts that won’t damage
your working material. The Savannah Pressure Fit Threaded
Inserts are designed to be embedded into various materials so
that you can thread a 3/8” x 16 bolt or stud into your stock.
The insert works exceptionally well in harder materials such as
resins, acrylics and hardwoods. The inserts can also be used in
softer materials as well such as some plastics and softwoods.
Each insert has opposing angled grooves on the outside to grip
the material once the insert is pressed into the hole. The
angled grooves dig into the material just enough too make the
insert almost impossible to remove once its in place. No glue is
necessary but may be used if so desired. The inserts also are
made with a slightly smaller and smooth entry ring at the base.
This makes placing the insert into a half inch hole easy. This
gives you the perfect starting position for pressing it in
Perfect for use in furniture making projects, cabinetry builds,
general woodworking, wooden or composite material bottle
stoppers, tap handles and a whole lot more! Woodworkers can
never have too many of these on hand. Wherever you need a
shallow 3/8” x 16 tpi thread, this insert was made for the job.
Add Threads to Almost Anything
Whether you're a professional woodworker, furniture builder or a
do it yourself kind of person, you can use these inserts to give
you a shallow threaded hole wherever its needed! Best of all no
glue is required to make these hold in place.
Quit bustin' knuckles and chunkin' pieces of your material!
Unlike the knife or cut style brass inserts, our inserts are
pressed into the hole. Designed to fit into 1/2" holes for a
perfect and very strong fit. Once its in, it is locked in.
Under Pressure...
Once you're ready to put the insert into your material all you
will need is a vise or a clamp. Simply set the insert into the
hole and slowly press the insert in. Depending on your hole, the
amount of pressure you need to apply may be greater.
Unique Design for Insert to Hole Alignment
Our engineers have also come up with a simple solution to get
the pressing process started. The smooth entry ring on the
bottom of the inserts is slightly smaller than the locking
grooves on the threaded insert. This gives the insert the
perfect starting point to be aligned with the hole before
pressing the insert into the hole. This means NO more crooked,
mis-aligned threads or unsightly split blanks. These pressure
fit inserts ensure that when the bottle stopper, stud or bolt is
installed into the blank or your material, you have good
alignment.
NO GLUE REQUIRED!
Many brass inserts require glue to keep them in place. While
some knife style inserts seem to be solid, when you rotate them
the opposite way they can become loosened. Thus the need for
glue with that style and other style inserts. That doesn't
happen with these brass inserts! The opposing angle grooves act
like a locking mechanism and keep the inserts locked in. NO
GLUE REQUIRED!
