Bottle Stopper Chuck and Drill BitCreating a threaded hole on a bottle stopper blank using the bottle stopper typically is very difficult and produces so-so results. This kit is designed to make the threading of the wooden blank easier and provide a better fit for your 3/8" bottle stopper. The 3/8" x 16tpi thread size is a common size for bottle stopper threads. The drill bit is just the right size to allow the chuck post to cut the threads into the wooden blank and then pair up with the stopper.

High Quality Brad Point Drill Bit We have included a high quality brad point drill bit with the bottle stopper chuck. Once you locate the center of your blank, you will then use the drill bit to bore a hole in the center of the blank. The drill bit is just the right size to allow the chuck post to cut the threads into the wooden blank. 
Mounting the Bottle Stopper Blank By mounting the wooden blank onto the chuck you will be able to turn your finished project directly on the chuck with out having to re position the blank compared to a bulky 4 jaw chuck! The best part is you will be creating a threaded hole in your blank at the same time! This will allow you to mount the stopper to the top once finished.

This size chuck and drill bit are one of the most commonly used sizes for turning bottle stopper tops. Make sure you have the right size bottle stopper threads before purchasing. Your bottle stopper should have a 3/8” x 16tpi threaded stud and the widest part of your bottle stopper should be approximately 31/32” in diameter. The finished diameter of your bottle stopper top may vary depending on your final turned size you choose.
