Outdoor Table
Fine Woodworking Project Plan

This 5-ft.-dia. outdoor table seats six. The top is made of boards surrounded by a round outer frame constructed from 12 thicker segments, joined with splines. Gaps between the boards allow water to drain and lighten the look of the top. Gently curved legs attach to the base with mortise-and-tenon joints. Looking for an organic way to enrich the soil around your house? Once you've completed the first project, add the solid cedar compost bin with removable slats. This compost bin is as efficient as it is good-looking: Slats slide out for turning and renewing the compost mixture. The design adapts nicely to either stationary or portable construction.
