Whether its on a circle or a square, typically we would measure the longest distance and divide that in half and hope we are correct and accurate. Simply set stock firmly against the V- stop of the device, and score your first line using the Straightedge guide, rotate stock 90-Degrees and mark your second line.

Once you locate the spot that you want to center your circle from, use a push pin or brad nail in the center hole of the center finder/compass to hold it in place. Choose the diameter circle you would like to mark, then using a fine pointed pencil or scoring tool to mark your circle.

White and Black Printed Index Markings

The white printed index markings appear clearly on darker colored surfaces while the black printed index marks appear clearly on lighter colored surfaces. The markings line up with a different size diameter hole in 1/8” increments. Making this ideal for wood turners, arts, crafts, school projects, rough and finish carpenters or use it anywhere you need to draw a circle.
